Two weeks left to see Picasso at Seattle Art Museum

For all those Seattleites out there who haven’t made it to the Seattle Art Museum (come on, we know there must be at least one of you) – You have TWO weeks left to catch their blockbuster show: Masterpieces from the Musee National Picasso, Paris.


The Museum has extended their visiting hours for these final days:

Special Extended Hours:

December 26–January 13: 10:00 am–9:00 pm*

January 14–16 (Final Weekend): 10:00 am–midnight

Monday, January 17 (Final Day!): 10:00 am–9:00 pm

*Exceptions:
January 6 (First Thursday): 10:00 am–midnight
Monday, January 10: SAM members-only viewing from noon–9:00 pm

An artist in her own right, Dora Maar is featured in Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris through works on paper, the famous painting Portrait and Dora Maar and Maar’s own photographs of Picasso’s Guernica. In this lecture, Mary Ann Caws, author and Distinguished Professor of Comparative Literature, English, and French at the Graduate School of the City University of New York, discusses Maar’s life and work before, during and after her relationship with the Spanish artist.
